For this project, I was asked to create a proposal, sitemap and wireframe for the fictitious client that I am currently in the process of making a website for. The proposal states all the necessary information of the project, it explains what will be needed for the development process. The sitemap list the website pages and what they will consist of and finally the Wireframe gives a representation of how the website will look like.
Reel Deal Tacos Proposal
Goal and Objective
The goal of this project is to create a website for Reel Deal Tacos that effectively and easily communicates their brand. This website will be responsible for showing the identity of the business and posting relevant information like the menu, pricing and ever-changing location of the food truck. The website will also be used to push traffic towards the desired social media platforms that will be used to update customers on locations, deals and experiences of other customers.
The website will be made simple, organic and friendly just as requested and Weebly will be used to achieve this. Structuring the site through Weebly will also enable the employers to easily update the site as needed in the future and also feature important key words in order to increase search optimization rankings.
Specific Recommendations
Keep consistency between all social media platforms. Make sure that the brand experience is shown through out all platforms. It is advised to keep to only a minimum number so there will be much attention towards them. Also, sticking to the platforms where the target audience is most present is necessary. I can make research concerning that, which may result in an increase of the payment.
Getting a photographer to be present at all locations will help the brand visually show the customer experience. Theses photos will then be added to the social media accounts and website.
The usage of more visual content than text when then site is being updated is also advised. Customers will most likely look at visual representations than read bulky text. If text is to be used make sure that it is short and engaging.
Proximity should be used greatly in the site. Related information should be closely together in order to have the website more organized and easy to understand for the customers.
I will be requesting for some keywords that the company feels should be added. I will also use my research skills to gain the key words needed but I will also require some from the business.
I plan to add a local favorite page to the website in order to increase the customer experience. In order to do this, I will need a list of the most purchased and liked menus.
A file possessing the recipes for the different meals, so that customers can know how to make some meals that are hand- picked by the management.
Work Estimate
Estimated design and administrative time: 45-50 hours
Estimated Cost: $1800-$2000
Updates outside the time of this project will require an hourly payment of $40.
Delivery Time
The project will be finished and delivered to the clients after 4 weeks of the development and design process. This is so to ensure that the site is simple, easy to navigate through and is to what the clients envisioned.
Site Maintenance
The website will be created through Weebly which does not require my help in running and updating the site once the developmental process is done. But if that is the case, a payment of $14/month will be needed for the service.
I can also offer a training program for the Reel Deal employers on how to update and run the website.
Next Step
In order to start the project, the following are needed:
Payment for a domain name.
More Visual Content.
Desired layout of the website if any.
Deposit of a $1000, which is half of the estimated cost for the project.
Policies
A deposit of half of the estimated payment will have to be paid once proposal is accepted.
Projects postponed or abandoned for 20 days or more will result in payment for the work already done, which will be ¼ of the estimated payment.
A cancellation fee will have to be paid by the client for any abrupt shut down of the project. This payment will be ½ of the deposit amount.
Payment
Payment will be appreciated once the project is done or within a 10 day period after project is completed.
