WK4 Peer Review

My classmate Terrence Jefferson created a Logo, business card and Magazine advertisement for LakeWorth Longboards, a fictitious brand. I asked to give a peer review on his work

I found your presentation interesting because of the richness of color. The logo, business card and advertisement really popped on the background. I found the business card’s background very interesting and nice, I’m sure that if someone is giving the card, it will be a must keep because of the nice color. But have you considered bringing up the logo a bit and then putting the tagline in the middle before the contact information. Also the logo in the business card looks different from the other ones. The stroke for the second circle looks much bigger than the others.

The magazine advertisement is very interesting, I like the picture that you used, it gives this beach feel, which is what is expected. The logo can be made bigger, I do understand what you were going with, but I still feel it could be bigger. The text for the ad isn’t so clear and you can add a call to action like what was said in class.

Lastly, I feel the logo is cool. The color blue is nice and I love the font, which is really working. You said in class that you were going for a sunset kind of vibe but the color there looks a bit green, is that what you were going for?

The background is very nice and clean; it’s amazing how it doesn’t blend with the business card. Although you could make the text more bold or put a fill color below it and then lower the opacity.

Overall, I think the designs are lovely and I feel you did a very good job. The ideas you had were very good and interesting and I feel you accomplished what you intended from the beginning. I know that as we go into our other classes your design and research skills will increase greatly.
