Before I started the MCBS program my mind was “all over the place” because I didn’t exactly know what I wanted to do in life. I had always thought I wanted to be a doctor so I could save the lives of millions of people around the globe. Then one day I found a novel in my parent’s room and read it. Because of that I began to write my own stories because I was so inspired by it. Gradually came my incline to the media and entertainment world.

I started having dreams about my stories being on screen and realized I wanted to be a screenwriter. Then one day my father came back home with a camera in hand and I was so taken by it. I began to use and love it so much that I forgot about my screen-writing dream for a short while. More things began to enter the picture, like my mother joining a network marketing company and me wanting to do that too. Also my countries lack of good movies pushed me to start wanting to be a director.

My “all over the place” situation started again and when I asked my parents for their advice, they simply said, “Doctor is good for you, you can do the art stuff as a part time thing.” With no one else to turn to, I went into the science classes. I had a hard time with understanding numbers and the formulas; maybe it was because my mind was never actually there.

So I went back to my parents and told them my decision to move back to the arts class. They were open to my decision and suggested the media communications course where I could get a feel of everything I was interested in. And ever since then I decided to pursue my passion for media at Full Sail University.

Perspective: Most times I find myself conflicting between the formal and Informal writing situation that Stacy Williams talked about. We don't have to think that natural story telling and using small words isn't professional because it makes the writing more human and easy to connect with. So because of this I have tried to make my story simple, but not forgetting the professional aspect.
