For this assignment, I was asked to watch the "Customizing Woo Commerce Themes" tutorial on lynda.com and submit a screenshot of my completion certificate. I was also asked to write down 3 points of interest from the video.

I chose this tutorial because of the commerce page that I will be creating at the end of this week. I was hoping to learn about how to create a commerce theme that works for your site.

One of the things that I learnt was being consistent with your brand when creating a commerce page and customizing ecommerce themes to match the brand style. The tutorial looked at Woocommerce, which allows you to create ecommerce styles for your website. I know that the theme works for wordpress but I will have to check if it works for Wix.

I also leant that with Woocommerce, that you can modify the product page. You should always make sure that currency symbol is updated and also resize images to fit the style of the brand. In the tutorial it shows how to do these things with WooCommerce and Wordpress.

Lastly, I learnt about A/B testing. When you create a commerce page sit and start getting a lot of orders, it is advised to do an A/B test. This looks at your customizations and sees if it still works effectively. Also it lets you test different scenarios or customizations that can help you pick out which one is best.
