For this activity, I was asked to compare my current resume to one of the potential job opportunities I picked previously in a class. JobScan was the resource used to accomplished this and through this I was able to gain insight to the changes to be made on my resume. Below you can find my resume results and also an explanation of the changes I will make.
Jobscan Results
Getting a 23% on my resume was quite depressing but I have seen it as an opportunity to make my resume better.
This are the things I have learnt and the changes I will make:
For this job position I will be applying for the project management job, so it is important that I add something along the lines of that. Therefore, I will have to add my project management experience and keywords similar to it.
I've been learning alot about keywords and have seen that they are very important. Therefore I will tailor my resume to the show the keywords(those words, skills, qualifications) that the company is looking for.
Also, I will work to change the layout of my resume to make it look more professional, easy to ready and more aesthetically pleasing.
Also I'll look into why the results said I did not have some keywords when I did. I'll check to see if it is a problem with the format I used or if I missed any grammar errors.
