Week 3: Industry Resume

For this assignment, I was asked to revise my industry resume from the 23% I had from my previous Jobscan result and see how I could increase it. Below you will find my previous result as well as my new result with an explanation of the processes I took to make my resume better.
My resume definitely went through a huge change. Although the score may not be so high, I feel I did well in tailoring my resume to the job description. First and foremost, one thing I focused on for this activity was to change the design of my resume. I wanted to look more clean and simple to reflect my style and my personal brand, which I feel it does.
Secondly, I worked on inputting and trying to fit in the keywords that came from the job description into my resume. I gained the keywords from the description and also the words that Jobscan helped highlight for me. My goal while working on optimizing the keywords was to add all the words that Jobscan said I didn't have as much as possible.
I looked back at all my past experiences and looked for where I did any project management work and fit into into all my job experiences and skills. I added key words like managed and projects and also went into learning about the management software to add it to my resume since it was a requirement.
Lastly, I changed my font choices because they weren't so clear in my last resume.
